Struggles can be very hard on a person’s mental health. Finding out who you are in the face of struggles, this alone can tell you a lot about who and what you are. Overcoming can be a challenge for many people, have you noticed the rise in mental health issues?
Our world is a very difficult world to navigate at times, with no proper upbringing it can often time exacerbate the already daunting task of living within the confines of our own world. The pressures that society places on each of us are immense, this can bring all kinds of mental health issues, that many people will experience in their own lifetime.
When you live with a person that might be suffering from a mental health issue, it can make you feel very out of place and not really sure how to deal with the issue that you are faced with. This is especially true in a marriage. This is when you find out do you run or do you prepare for the long haul. Makes me think about why the divorce rate is so high in our world. At the first sign of trouble, what will you do?
People often find themselves in this sort of trouble, I would venture to say, it is because people do not think about how life’s changes can sometimes not be what we expected. We find ourselves overwhelmed and not ready to face the challenge of marriage or a relationship. especially when one of the partners deal with a mental health issue.
The first point I would like for you to see is, Notice I call mental health an issue, not a problem? This is your first step in handling this a little better. When you see things as a problem it automatically places a negative insight into an already touchy situation. When we see mental health as an issue, we tend to deal with it as an issue and work with more of a positive insight on the matter at hand.
Running from an issue will never get it solved, work together and find a solution that is best for all parties involved. Yes, running seems to be an easier way to deal with a situation that makes us uncomfortable, but what does this say about your own mental health?
We all have issues and when we stop placing a negative light on an issue such as mental health, We might be able to handle the issue is has become. Time to start talking about the issues we face together.
